We have a lot of new procedures in place to make sure our center, operations, and staff are continuously prepared to safely welcome back our bowlers. Even with these enhanced measures in place, we understand and respect that not everyone will be comfortable getting back to bowling right away. When it's the right time for you, we'll be thrilled to see you on the lanes again!

What Can I Expect When I Visit Cypress Lanes?

We've teamed up with our network of bowling and family entertainment center owners to share ideas and gain insight into the best practices and procedures to implement for our industry. After much research, planning, and training, we are confident in the protocols we have in place to ensure everyone feels comfortable coming to Cypress Lanes.

What to expect:

  • Employees
    • Wear masks
    • Temperature check before each shift
    • Commit to staying home if feeling unwell
    • Highly-trained on all new procedures
  • Facility
    • Continuously sanitized throughout the day
    • Deep-cleaned every night after we close
    • Plexiglass barriers at front desk and snack bar
    • All lanes have physical distancing measures in place. This is achieved by spacing the lane tables 6 feet apart with signage asking for patrons to please stay at their table as much as possible. 
    • If you'd like some extra room, we have designated lanes for those who are more comfortable having empty lanes neighboring both sides of their lane.
  • Equipment
    • Thoroughly sanitized after every use
    • Inside and outside of shoes are sanitized then sealed in a plastic bag
    • Assortment of sanitized bowling balls are pre-arranged on the designated physical distancing lanes.
    • Entire outside of each bowling ball and three holes are sanitized
    • Patrons on lanes not designated for physical distancing will be able to select their own bowling ball from the racks. We sanitize our bowling balls on a routine basis. If you would like us to resanitize your bowling ball prior to use, please let us know. We'll be more than happy to give it another good wipe-down while you give your hands a pump of sanitizer.

How are you ensuring physical distancing?

We are taking every measure to make sure we abide by the CDC guidelines and recommendations for physical distancing. Here are some of the new implementations we have made:

  • We have placed queue markers by the front desk and snack bar to designate where groups should stand while in line.
  • We are only allowing a maximum of 6 people on 1 lane.
  • All lanes have physical distancing measures in place. This is achieved by spacing the lane tables 6 feet apart with signage asking for patrons to please stay at their table as much as possible. 
  • If you'd like some extra room, we have designated physical distancing lanes for those who are more comfortable having empty lanes neighboring both sides of their lane.
Do I have to wear a mask?

We ask for our guests to comply with Emergency Ordinance No. O-28-20 issued by the City of Winter Haven, which requires the wearing of masks or similar facial coverings unless meeting any of the exception criteria.

Please note that our employees are required to wear masks at all times.

Can I bring my own bowling ball and/or shoes?

Absolutely! While we have thorough sanitation processes in place for both our house balls and rental shoes, we also welcome guests to bring their own. 

We will even be sanitizing the ball returns after each group finishes their bowling, so guests can be assured that they are placing their bowling ball on a sanitized surface.

What are your prices?

We will have our standard rates during our initial phases of reopening. Be sure to check out our daily bowling specials for when we run our awesome deals on unlimited bowling!

  • Weekdays before 6 PM: $20 per lane/hour
  • Weekdays after 6 PM and weekends: $25 per lane/hour
  • Shoe may be rented for $3.95/pair for adults and $3.50/pair for children under 12 years old.
  • All previously-standing discounts will still be applied.
  • All acceptable coupons will be honored, regardless of expiration date.

Lane rental prices are for up to 5 people per lane. Add an additional bowler for $4. Prices do not include tax.

Do you still have your daily bowling specials?

Bowling is back, and so are our much-loved bowling specials!

All You Can Bowl

$10 on Sunday from 4:30 PM - 7 PM + 7:30 PM - 10 PM

$8 on Monday through Thursday from 9:30 PM - 12 AM

Price is per person + includes shoes.

Rockin' Bowl

Friday from 10 PM - 12:30 AM

Saturday from 11 PM - 1:30 AM

Price is $55 per lane for up to 5 people + includes shoes. Add 1 additional bowler for $5.

When are you resuming league play?

As the saying goes, there's no time like the present! We are confident in our decision to safely resume league play, and can't wait to welcome everyone back to Cypress Lanes.

Can I reserve a lane?

We are currently not taking any lane reservations with the exception of pre-booked gatherings (of 10 people or less). Pre-booked events require a signed agreement and deposit through our Activities Office.

Is your restaurant open?

Of course! When hunger strikes, we've got you covered! You can order anything off the menu--includes our full bar, too! While there are no limits when it comes to what you can order, you will notice a few changes to our food and beverage operations:

  • Each group will receive a new, disposable copy of our menu upon check-in. All copies are one-time use only. Feel free to take yours home and stick it on your fridge--you'll be glad you did.
  • All glassware will be replaced with disposable cups.
  • We will no longer have communal dispensers for coffee, condiments, straws, etc. 
  • While we will be offering lane service, you may also walk up to either the snack bar or bar window to place your order. We have plexiglass at both service windows, as well as floor tape to designate a safe distance between patrons.
Is Your Arcade Open?

Our arcade is open and ready for you to come play!

Upon entry into the arcade, each guest will receive a new pair of disposable gloves.

Our arcade games will be sanitized throughout the day.

Can I book a party?

We could all use a little celebration! When we say little, we mean that literally. Until further notice, we will only be able to accommodate parties of 10 people or less. Please note that all parties must be pre-booked through our Activities Office and require a signed agreement and deposit

What about my league and any prepaid lineage or prize funds we've paid into?

Due to COVID-19, we had no choice but to suspend all league play and finalize the standings.

  • Your standings reflect your scores up until the last week you bowled.
  • Your prize fund monies have been calculated.
  • All refunds for those who prepaid have been calculated.
  • You will need to come in to pick up your payout envelopes according to the schedule below:
    • All daytime senior leagues: Starting 5/26
    • Dershimer's Mixed Nutz: Starting 6/1
    • Lousy Bowlers: Starting 6/2
    • Cypress City Men's and Women's: Starting 6/3
    • If you were on the Thursday Mixed league, please go to your league standings sheet to view the information that Ed provided for receiving your payout.

What happens with my event reservation that was scheduled during your closure?

All reservations that have been paid for will be fully refunded if the reservations were scheduled during our closure period.

Our dedicated event team would love to help you reschedule your event with us, and will gladly apply any received event deposits toward your next scheduled event.
